Tennis dan during the Olympics opening ceremony was trying to be a good sport because he is happy to be there with the best athletes in the world and represent Australia in green and gold but it’s raining and he can’t burrow close to max

He’s cold, wet, and somewhat miserable in the rain but he’s still goofing around with the others

OMG YES!! he is wet and on a boat in the middle of a river! it is cold and wet and he is annoyed because like Max isnt there, he's watching from somewhere covered probably. And Max is warm!

Instead, Daniel is around a bunch of people he kinda knows. Like he knows Rebecca and Like Lindsay because the met up at the aussie open. But like, majority of these people all trained together and are kinda cliquey. Daniel's one of the only people there for tennis and he's been traveling with Max. Blake and Mike weren't allowed to come on the boat with them.

Daniel hopes there isn't a camera trained on him becasue he knows he looks like a pouty upset cat right now.

An arm slings around his hunched shoulders and he looks up to see one of the BMX guys grinning at him. He tugs him backwards into the group of surfers and skateboarders who were talking about F1 and started asking him questions.

I overlooked the wip part and just made characters of my favs soooo. I mean! I do have a fic where all of these characters (minus Bart) are in! And they get bombed by glitter! Thus the glitter, stickers and sparkles on their faces and around them.

Tyler was very good at it, but he had a hard time with the really poopy ones lol. Esme could handle everything from sopping wet with pee to the ultimate of blow outs. So I'm going to give it to her lol

Clean the boys' bathroom LOL. She does not understand how they never seem to actually get the pee in the toilet, despite the fact he was very diligent especially when it came to toilet training them and showing how it's done when standing up lol. Something mom couldn't do. lol. So he handles that for her. He tends to take the garbage out the most do and mucks the stalls for the animals. The oldest boys and Declan are good at helping.

They'd be cool with it. They are raising their children to have free will and to think and make decisions for themselves, and if, after researching and experiencing things, they decide that religion is for them, mom and dad will accept that and nurture it the best they can. But both Tyler and Esme will NOT become religious themselves.

TJ and Millie both want to go to Hawaii and California on surfing trips. Tanner wants to visit Iceland and Finland. Declan has a dream of going mountain climbing in places like Austria and Switzerland. The others are still really small and to them the ultimate place is Disney World and they go there every two years :)

Tanner is very good at advocating for himself and the things he needs. So Tyler built him a 'safe place'; enclosing his bed and turning into a cabin with barn doors that open and shut. Just a place he can 'lock' himself into it when he needs to. They plan where they go to eat, shop, vacations, based on what kind of 'escape routes' there are for Tanner and what kind of 'safe places' they can arrange for him to retreat to. They allow him to wear his noise cancelling headphones at the dinner table if he's overwhelmed by the noise.

You know, they just love to hang out together. They love spending time on the beach, just the two of them. He'll take her for a surfing lesson, they'll have lunch down there, they will just lie in the sun and talk or read books. They'll go on hikes in the woods. They'll goof around on the skateboard ramp (like that video of Chris trying to do kick flips lol). And they nap. Mostly on the hammock of the swinging bed on the maste rbedroom patio

They love working there. It's a very relaxing place. There's fish tanks and the bookstore cat and there's a little courtyard out back and they listen to music. She's a good boss and very friendly and outgoing. And the place is very respected by locals and tourists and they've been featured in magazines and even a tv show about places to visit not just in Queensland, but Australia itself :)

Tyler is a strict boss. He's very much a perfectionist and didn't accept excuses or mistakes. But he's also fair and treats his people with respect. Not to mention pays them EXTREMELY well. Including medical bills, dental, all those types of benefits. And he is very well respected (and even feared in some ways) in that circle

Addie has always been so sensitive. And a little drama queen! She'd totally lose her mind at feedings if it was coming fast enough (there was a scene with Tyler being like 'omg, calm down' lol) and she had a temper tantrum when she was learning to crawl and lost her balance lol

Oh yeah. Millie especially. They know they're not supposed to go into the woods alone, because dumb asses will hunt in there despite it being private property. But she's especially been known to go in there and get caught or ratted on.

Skateboarder Heili Sirviö is making history for Finland at the Paris Olympics this year as the youngest athlete to ever represent the country.

At 13 years old, Heili punched her ticket for the Olympics after placing seventh in a qualifying event for the Women's Park event in Budapest earlier this year. The Olympic competition will be held on 6 August in Paris's Place de la Concorde.

The Finnish Olympic Committee told Yle earlier this month that Sirviö's selection was discussed extensively before the decision was made. Typically, the Committee does not allow athletes so young, but an exception was made in Heili's case.

This was based on the fact that the Finnish skater has spent the last two years touring international competitions with other skaters going to Paris. Therefore, the Olympic competition is nothing new for Heili, just another step in competing internationally.

In competitive skateboarding, it is not unheard of for athletes to be quite young compared to other sports. While boxing and gymnastics have age limits of 16 years at the Olympics, there is no such restriction in skateboarding.

Young people have also been quite successful at the sport in the Olympics. Momiji Nishiya won a gold medal for Japan in the Women's Street discipline at 13 years old at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, the first time the games included the event.

While the sport skews youth-heavy, there are a few outliers this year such as 50-year-old skateboarding veteran Andy Macdonald representing the United Kingdom in the men's division.

At the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, Lizzie Armanto represented Finland in the Women's Park event, placing 14th.

Australia to California to Paris

As part of the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) rules, she will be accompanied by her father Fredu Sirviö, a former professional snowboarder.

"It's been a long journey, and we're really excited to get there. It's our first Olympics but hopefully not the last. We are going there with great enthusiasm and positive excitement," said Fredu.

The whole Sirviö family is aware that the 13-year-old Olympic athlete will receive special attention.

"I think Heili herself enjoys the spotlight very much, and that's enough for me," Fredu said.

The Sirviö family moved to Australia around seven years ago and both Heili and her sister Miila Sirviö have Australian citizenship as well as Finnish. Skateboarding initially began for the duo when they took their father's skateboard out of the closet during Covid lockdown in 2020.

"I liked to learn new things and develop my skills," now 13-year-old Heili told Yle.

Two years ago, the Sirviö family relocated to Vista, California, near San Diego, to help the girls become world class skateboarders.

"I realised that this could really be something, as Heili's tricks got quite close to elite standard after only a couple of years of skateboarding," her father Fredu said.

Both Heili and Miila are prolific skateboarders, placing first and second, respectively, in the Finnish Vert Skateboarding Championships earlier this month.

Eyes on the prize

Heili is clear when it comes to her goals for Paris.

"I want to bring home a gold medal," she told Yle with a broad smile.

Heili's coach Jussi Korhonen is more moderate, but he also said his goal is a podium finish.

With good luck, he told Yle that is realistic, as Heili has already managed to break through at the elite level. Her support team also plays a big part in his success, and he described Sirviö as ambitious and systematic in working towards her dreams. As she gets older and more experienced, her originality grows.

Korhonen noted that this kind of originality is important to skateboarders, as they want to leave their legacy by creating new tricks and approaches to the sport.

"Of course, Heili hasn't had time to do half of that in four or five years, but she certainly wants to leave her mark on skateboarding history.," Korhonen said.

For all I had to be at my most responsible, competent, and organised to help my brother, spending a lot of time calling mechanics and discussing autoelectrics- we had a blast. We're great friends and hadn't seen each other in years.

He is out of the pit, and in a month we rendezvous with our sister (us three in the same place for the first time in three years!). Much progress was made.

We ate the finest, cheapest tropical fruits and cackled at the shaming of the guilty. We worked a few days on an organic sweet potato farm, visited a coffee plantation, and drank a bottle of mango wine. I *shudder* became accustomed to XXXX because the interstate folk don't know what's up.

I saw animals I've waited my whole life to see, amd marvelled at how all of Australia was once rainforest. We picked up a stray dog at the crater lakes and surrendered them to a vet. Alas, it was dry season and I didn't have the QLD green- treefrog- in- shower moment.

We mountain- goated across boulders, and I fulfilled my lifelong ambition of swinging from a jungle vine in aid of the goating. We had a driftwood fire on the Kaba beach and camped in a very eccentric tent belonging to our sister. One night I led a lost drunk girl who didn't have a phone through the dark mangroves back to camp... and when I went back to smoke a joint in there, the board walk vibrated ominously.

We inspected the pools at the top of Davies Creek Falls in the dark, and only realised the next day that they're 70m tall. We screeched to a halt for a frog crossing the road, and saw a platypus with uncanny ease at the platypus- viewing hide in Yungaburra.

I stood leaning on the rail of the Fitzroy Flyer and let the Coral Sea wind blow through me, up my nose and into my soul. That attempt to see some of Nyurrbing was ultimately a very expensive day on the beach in the rain (a cheerful one, though). We had silly cocktails on a tropical island from Foxy's.

A lucky sea- step penny I've had since Orkney in (er..?) 2016 mysteriously vanished, replaced by a 5c piece from the great Biboohra River. My rosary blessed by its waters, and my "home" solstice hallowing water my best offering.

I met Daintree bogans and greened out on their medical weed in Cape Tribulation. My brother was with me, and those guys were great, but I felt how easily something terrible could have happened. I thought I'd broken my nose.

I was sensible and didn't try the Queensland psyllocibins available in the caravan park's drug shop. Open 7-9pm daily and run by a metal head Bush Doof Jesus, it is frequented by Lenny the bandicoot (who was stolen then returned, seen crash- bandicooting in a cage on a skateboard!). I got a blow- by- blow account when my caravan- mate had a chocolate full of "penis envy" mushrooms.

I marvelled at being in Hippy Land, the way it was reflected in supermarkets and pharmacies. The Kuranda markets were a lot of fun. I saw plenty of irresponsible van- life animal husbandry, and was disappointed how strong white dreadlocks still are. I became disgusted by their fire twirling antics (kerosene on the beach of the Great Barrier Reef?!), beautiful as it was. Someone stole a plastic spoon which was holding our caravan window open, and you couldn't trust them around your dish detergent!

I read a trippy N.E. QLD magazine called Connect (it was the LGBTQIA+ edition and friends, I don't know how offended to be). Full of ads for white plastic shamans and barramundi animal messages.

I twice glued the boots which had been re- heeled before the trip. Their soles peeled the minute we got to Kaba Kada. What was once dappled grey is now dyed by the red, red Yidinji soil of the farm. They're treasured now (and at the cobbler).

I stitched tourist patches into the duffel bag which is slowly catching up to my old sticker- covered case that perished coming back from Aotaeroa. I was that tourist who bought a crocodile tooth, and dreamt with it under my pillow.

For my last night I painted my nails pink to watch Barbie in Australia's oldest operative cinema. We spoilt our dinner with popcorn and snakes, and saw one last waterfall.

I came home to Tarndanya and saw it anew... a changed woman (not that Barbie had anything to do with it).

I just listened to the latest episode of and that's what you really missed on Glee.

It was about the Glee 3D movie. No one saw this coming. It was an add-on to the extensive list of things they didn't think was possible in the contract for the pilot.

It was shot in New Jersey over 2 days. In addition to the actual concerts, they had to come in early to shoot the close-ups. The had an audience for the close-ups.

Sam (a fan) talked about it. She was there with friends. They had won the tickets and were there all day watching the Glee cast. They brought Darren out to talk to the fans. Later they watched him skateboard through the arena. (so nice someone mentioning him.) They saw Lea performing Don't Rain on My Parade which was already cut from the show. That was special.

Jenna and Kevin didn't know what the structure of the film would be. Ryan filmed the backstage stuff. They didn't know about the fan interviews, but think they are the best part of the movie. (for me they are the most boring part of the movie.)

They changed the set list for the movie which was weird.

They heard about the Glee Project during the tour and were confused. Ryan explained to them they weren't looking for people to replace them.

Kevin wanted to do another tour to South America, Asia, Australia, but he was the only one.

fitzgerald anderson-corra has been called many things – “fuckboy prince of sydney” being his favorite, but the submission box is always open – but nobody has ever dared to call him boring. 

he was adopted as a baby, before he could ever conceive of anyone else as a parent, and he was given the atrocious name of fitzgerald after mama anderson’s deceased father. fitz grew up richer than god and all his disciples (or perhaps her disciples in this, the year of barbie), adopted by a lesbian power-couple who had more money than they knew what to do with. as such, they lavished their wealth on their three children, and fitz never knew how to want something, only how to get it.

this became his philosophy in life: whatever he set his sights on (whether it be things or people), it had to be his. and honestly, it was easy to fulfill these endless desires, being as charming and persuasive as fitz was.

he remembers clearly the first time he made a room full of people really laugh. he was eight years old, and his mothers were having a group of people over for dinner. they were going around the table, and everyone was tasked with doing an impression of a celebrity. fitz chose björk (which, looking back, was quite advanced for his age), and after just a couple sentences in his best icelandic accent, the whole room was hysterical. it felt incredible, like love and respect and power all wrapped into one. with every joke that fitz has told since, he’s been chasing that feeling – he’s done his fair share of drugs, but no high compares to that. 

he spent his teenage years surfing the sydney coast during the day and hopping from one party to the next by night. he made easy friends with everyone, and if he didn’t, it was only because they were jealous of his good looks and seamless charisma. at school, he thrived in any activity that put him in the spotlight, whether it was playing the comic relief in a theater production or writing funny cartoons in the school newspaper. fitz was a bright and shining star, and even though he was middle-of-the-pack when it came to pure academics, every teacher and student alike swore that he was going to do something great with that mind of his.

it all changed when he was sixteen. they never should’ve been drinking as much as they were. they never should’ve dared each other to climb higher and higher, up onto the roof even. but they did, and fitz lost more than just a brother that night – he lost a piece of himself.

fitz spent the rest of that summer indoors. no surfing, no parties, no laughter. his mothers assumed it was grief, but guilt is what it actually was. fitz stared at the ceiling and replayed that night endlessly, unable to come to any conclusion besides the fact that fitz’s own recklessness had killed his brother. it ate away at him. 

when the summer ended, so did fitz’s period of mourning. he was determined not to let others see how the summer’s events had affected him, so he was back to fitz as usual, all the smirks and snickers included. he shut down anyone who wanted to talk about what happened with his brother, pushing it down lest it consume everything that made fitz special. he was a comedian, goddammit, and nobody wanted to watch a sitcom episode where the main character does nothing but cry and self-loathe.

he graduated with his sights set on meraviglia, determined to attend the best university that his mothers’ names could get him into and, conveniently, the same school as bindweed. his high school graduation speech received an average of three laughs per minute.

when professor dupont slipped an asphodel in fitz’s direction, he wasn’t very surprised. fitz exists as one of the most likable figures on meraviglia’s campus, and everybody agrees that his charisma is going to make him a big deal one day, though even fitz isn’t exactly sure what comes after college. he’s studying film and media with the hopes of perhaps migrating to the big screen, whether that’s as a writer or an actor, but he also has hidden desires to make something that’s entirely his own – a late-night show, when he’s feeling especially ambitious. 

but fitz is also a person that’s scared of failure and rejection and working too hard, so for now, he’s planning on making it through his last year and then spending some time doing what he does best: traveling the world, racking up the laughs, and bringing a party with him wherever he goes. of course, professor dupont’s disappearance is disturbing to him and is certainly a wrench in his plans to live it up as a senior, but fitz is determined to make something positive out of his last year in praeditus nonetheless.

BIOGRAPHY

duckie (never daphne, unless you want a little tasmanian devil after you) pham’s story began when her father, acclaimed surfer đại niên “daniel” pham, met the woman who would be daphne’s mother, interior designer leona tran while just trying to get a burger after a long day. in a mix-up at a diner in leona’s hometown, they were given each other’s food. when they realized the mistake and went to fix it, they couldn’t stop talking until well after midnight. they were from wildly different worlds, but they didn’t care! duckie’s older brother was born nine months later and though her parents weren’t actually married until a few years ago, that hopeless romanticism became a constant theme in duckie’s life. duckie didn’t put much effort into dating or romance, herself, but she did enjoy making matches for her friends’ lonely hearts. even when her family moved from australia to urbzville for her mother’s career, duckie immersed herself in her new friends’ personal lives.

while the rest of the people her age seemed to be in the middle of crazy schemes to try to get boyfriends and girlfriends (often that she came up with), duckie was busy trying to learn how to kickflip, running around filming everything around her, learning how to play bad covers on her dad’s old acoustic guitar, and surfing at skyline beach. by far the closest to her heart, surfing took up the majority of her attention and love. when her dad opened a surf shop with his brother right in skyline beach, duckie swore allegiance to urbzville for life. who needs anywhere else when you’ve got waves and halfpipes right in the urbz? the city was a revelation to duckie and the diverse districts around the city opened her up to all kinds of things that she hadn’t cared enough about back in her home country. kicktail park and cozmo street became her second homes, but even when she moved out with one of her best friends at nineteen, she couldn’t help but stay in skyline beach.

duckie has a hard time taking any seriously and would much rather joke everything off and focus on making other people happy than holding grudges or creating confrontation. creating chaos, though? she’s absolutely here for. her pranks are very much about confusing, not abusing, and they’re proof that even five years after moving out of her parents’ place, she has not grown up. the closest she’s come to maturity is keeping down her steady job at blockbuster, her favorite place to spread movie theories and celebrity gossip. she spends a ton of time there even outside of her shifts. is that because of her insistence that she has the best taste in movies of anyone in the city? it’s not... not! duckie doesn’t put much stock into the rivalries between the districts and doesn’t mind making it known. prides herself in having friends from all over urbzville and claims not to care about the flack she catches from people because of it. is truly just here for a good time! always has good weed!
